Suns rally for third straight win over North

    GREENVILLE – A pair of game-winning free throws by 8th-grader Michael Civils capped an epic Muhlenberg South comeback, as the Suns rallied for a thrilling 57-55 win at Muhlenberg North on Tuesday.  It was South’s third straight win over their intra-county rival.

Second half surge drives Lady Stars past South

    GREENVILLE – After trailing by as many as ten points in the first half to intra-county rival Muhlenberg South, Muhlenberg North exploded for 28 points in the third quarter and rolled to an impressive 67-49 win on Friday at South Gym.
    Junior guard Abby Steele led four Stars (10-6) in double figures with 22 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals.  Heather Mitchell had 10 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while Whitney Gaston finished with 12 points.  Sophomore Brittany Everly also had 10 points.

Annual Lady Star Classic tips off Jan. 20 at MNHS

    GREENVILLE – The 2007 Lady Star Classic gets underway Saturday at North Gym with five games featuring some of the best teams in west Kentucky and Tennessee coming to Greenville.
    The action starts at 1:00 p.m. with perennial 2nd Region contender Webster County taking on Taylor County.  At 2:30 p.m., Owensboro will face Paducah Tilghman, followed by Dawson Springs against Warren Central at 4 p.m.  The 5:30 game pits 1st Region powerhouse Graves County against Clarksville (TN) Northeast, followed by the host Lady Stars and Sycamore (TN) at 7 p.m.
