Morris nets 32 as Stars fall to Apollo 58-50

    GREENVILLE – Friday’s Muhlenberg North / Apollo showdown featured likely the 3rd Region’s two best players in the Stars’ Aaron Morris and the Eagles’ Tyler Brown.  Neither player disappointed as Morris notched a game-high 32 points, but Brown countered with 29 to lead Apollo to the hard-fought 58-50 win at North High.
    The Stars led 12-7 after one period, but was held scoreless for a 5-1/2 minute stretch in the second and as Apollo grabbed a 23-19 lead at halftime.

Harper gets 200th win in rematch with Ohio Co.

    HARTFORD – Heather Mitchell scored 21 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead Muhlenberg North to a 65-62 win over Ohio County on Thursday night to earn a season-split with the Lady Eagles. 
    The win was also the 200th career victory for North head coach Mike Harper, now in his eighth season with the Lady Stars.  Harper’s teams at Muhlenberg North have averaged over 25 wins per season and captured six 3rd Region championships.



Hill named 2007 South Basketball Queen
