GREENVILLE – Eual Denver Robertson, 59, died
Monday, Feb. 5, 2007 at his residence.
Born in Muhlenberg County June 5, 1947, he
was a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his father,
Howard Robertson, a sister, Ruth Whitfield and a brother, Jewell
Robertson.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Whitfield
Robertson; three daughters, Debra (David) Groves of Graham,
Melissa (Luther, Jr.) Dwyer of Drakesboro and Cristena (Kenneth)
Eaves of Greenville; eight grandchildren, Kimberly Groves, Jessica
Groves, Kayla Dwyer, Stephanie Eaves, Justin Dwyer, Christopher
Dwyer, David Groves, Jr. and Michael Eaves; his mother, Cennie
Robertson of Belton; and three brothers, J.W. Robertson of Greenville,
and Jimmy Robertson and David Robertson, both of Belton.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Feb.
8 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Browning officiating.
Burial followed in Union Ridge Cemetery in Belton.

7, 2007 at Muhlenberg
Community Hospital in
Greenville.
Born
in Muhlenberg County Sept.
18, 1922, he was a member
of Oak Grove Missionary
Baptist Church and a World
War II veteran. He was
retired from Longest Elementary
School, where he served
as principal from 1963-1986.
He taught Business Education
at Muhlenberg Central
High School from 1951-1963.
He received his undergraduate
degree from Western Kentucky
University and his masters
degree and Rank I from
Vanderbilt University
George Peabody College
of Education. He was a
lifetime member of the
Greenville VFW, former
Muhlenberg County Water
Commissioner, former member
of the Muhlenberg County
Democratic Executive Committee,
served on the Muhlenberg
County Airport Board and
was a member of Black
Diamond Masonic Lodge
#785. He was preceded
in death by his wife,
Mary Francis Earle in
1998 and a daughter, Dawn
Edwards in 2001.

– David Estil Uzzle, 79,
died Saturday, Feb. 10,
2007 at his residence.

in Muhlenberg County Sept.
16, 1927, he retired from
Gibraltar Coal Co. in
Central City in 1989 after
41 years and was a member
of UMWA Local 1092. He
was a deacon and Sunday
school teacher at Mt.
Pisgah Baptist Church
in Bremen for 45 years
and a member of the Bremen
Masonic Lodge. He was
a veteran of the United
States Army. He was preceded
in death by a son, Bryan
Hoover Uzzle in 1984.

include his wife, Jean
Hoover Uzzle; a daughter,
Donna Brown of Bremen;

of Pennyroyal Mental Health
and Retardation in Hopkinsville.
She was active in the
National Association for
Mental Illness and a former
board member of the Muhlenberg
County Opportunity Center.
She was a member of First
Baptist Church in Central
City. She was preceded
in death by two brothers,
Derrell and Charles Ashby.

City. He was a member
of the Masonic Lodge and

II. He was a loving and
devoted husband to his
wife of 64 years, Marie,

Lord March 28, 2006. He
was also preceded in death

Hospital.
Born
in Cherry Hill May 13,
1923, he was the son of
the late Grover and Era
Humphrey. He was a member
of the Cherry Hill Missionary
Baptist Church. He served
in the United States Army
and was a lifetime member
of the Disabled American
Veterans. He was involved
in many community activities
over the years, serving
as a member of the Central
City Volunteer Fire Department
for 30 years and for 55
years as a member of of
the Masonic Lodge #673.
He competed many times
in local and national
competitions as a member
of the Amateur Trapshooting
Association, of which
he was a lifetime member.
He was a Kentucky Colonel
and for more than 40 years
he owned and operated
a service station and
wrecker service in Central
City, from which he retired
in 1985. As a member of
the Muhlenberg County
Sportsmen's Club he was
active in the development
of Lake Malone. He was
preceded in death by three
sisters, Margie Bruce,
Ann Gish and Clara Courson
and a grandson, Jonathan
Humphrey Peay.

include his wife of 57

BEACH, FLA. – Hamilton
R. Duncan, 97, died Tuesday,
Feb. 6, 2007 in Vero Beach,
Fla.
Born
Aug. 28, 1909, he was
the son of the late Andrew
Wallace Duncan and Ethelwyn
Richardson Duncan of Greenville.
He began visiting Vero
Beach in 1952 and became
a resident in 1971.
He
was a graduate of the
University of Kentucky
in 1932 with a degree
in Geology. After graduation,
he worked as a banker
in Louisville for a few
years before returning
to Greenville prior to
World War II to serve
as secretary and treasurer
of the W.G. Duncan Coal
Company. He was subsequently
named president, a position
he held until the company
was sold to Peabody Coal
Company of St. Louis.
He
was of the Presbyterian
faith and served as an
Elder. Hamilton was a
life long contributor
to many organizations
and institutions both
in Vero and in his native
Kentucky.
He
was preceded in death
by his first wife, Cynthia
Robertson Duncan, who
passed away in 1983.
Survivors
include his wife of 20
years, Mary Knepp Duncan;
one daughter, Winnie Duncan

Church until declining
health required home stay.
She loved spending time

and was always finding

hand. She was preceded
