Drug seminar targets parents

    When parents in Marshall County were educated about childrens’ possible drug use during “Operation Parent” last month, they couldn’t wait until the question and answer to voice concerns, opinions and ask for more information.
    “A lot of parents don’t know what kinds of drugs are out there,” said Vicki Yonts, Kentucky Delta Project coordinator for Muhlenberg County. “They would stop us in the middle of giving information and say, ‘Hold it, now what is that?’”

MCH to offer free diabetes screening

    A free diabetes screening will be held by Muhlenberg Community Hospital as part of the Tri-State Diabetes Awareness Initiative through the Genesis Health Alliance.
    Screenings will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. March 10 and 1 to 3 p.m. March 24 inside Central City Wal-Mart Pharmacy.


Uncle Lee’s/Wing Supply wins state award

    Although the parking lot may be full, many of the customers who purchase items from Uncle Lee’s in Greenville have never seen the inside of the store.
    With a booming Internet business, Uncle Lee’s/Wing Supply was awarded the 2007 Governor’s Technology Award for Small Business for the innovative use of Internet technology.
