Tiffany Ann Holland

    BREMEN – Tiffany Ann Holland, 16, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
    Born in Muhlenberg County Dec. 8, 1990, she was a student a Muhlenberg North High School and a member of Woodson Baptist Church.
    Survivors include her father, Kennedy "Duck" Holland of Bremen; her mother, Theresa Faughender of Greenville; a sister, Summer Faughender of Greenville; a step-brother, Tyler Faughender of Dawson Springs; her grandparents, Linda Black of Bremen, Ann Vincent of Greenville and David Allison of Rough River; her great-grandmothers, Virginia Vincent of Bremen and Rachel Allison of Texas; an aunt, Lee Ann Eaves of Fort Mitchell; two uncles, Shane Allison of Eddyville and Kelly J. Holland of Greenville; a great-uncle, Barry Vincent of Bremen; and a special friend, Caleb Lane of Central City.
    Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Feb. 25 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Greene officiating. Burial followed in Bethlehem Cemetery in Bremen.



Annie Rose Pointer

    MORTONS GAP – Annie Rose Pointer, 17, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007 at her residence.
    Born in Greenville April 24, 1989, she was a home-schooled student and a member of Pleasant Union General Baptist Church.
    Survivors include her mother, Rosemary Elaine Edge Pointer of Mortons Gap; two brothers, Dustin Pointer and Ryan Pointer, both of Mortons Gap; and her grandparents, L.D. and Pat Edge of Drakesboro.
    Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. March 3 at Pleasant Union General Baptist Church with the Rev. Kris Freeman officiating. Burial followed in Wiley's Chapel Cemetery in Lewisburg. Price Funeral Home, Inc. in Lewisburg was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Annie Rose Pointer Memorial Fund C/O Lewisburg Banking Co.


Anna Elizabeth White

    GREENVILLE – Anna Elizabeth White, 71, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007 at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Greenville after several months illness.
    Born in Muhlenberg County Dec. 23, 1935, she was the daughter of Zilpha Browning Ray of Greenville and the late Arlin Ray. She was a homemaker, housewife and a charter member of Roland Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville. She was preceded in death by her first husband, the Rev. W.T. Vincent, two brothers and two sisters.
    Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Dayton White; her mother; four daughters, Edna Gail (Donnie) Drake of Morgantown, Mary (Charles) Wright and Barbara Vincent, both of Greenville, and Ruby Lynn (Kenny) Stewart of Manitou; two sons, David (Lola) White of Olney, Ill. and Christopher Wayne (Melissa) White of Baratoriee, La.; seven granchildren; and a great-grandson.
    Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Feb. 28 at Gary's Funeral Home with the Revs. Danny Mooneyhan and Carl Nelson officiating. Burial followed in New Cypress Cemetery in Greenville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons.


Clara Bessie Clark

    Clara Bessie Clark, 86, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville after a brief illness.
    Born in Cartersville, Ga. Feb. 22, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John William Benjamin Ingle and Leathia Delphia Kirby Ingle. She was a retired Registered Nurse for Madison Hospital in Madison, Tenn. and was a member of Seventh-Day Adventist of Portland, Tenn.
    Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Russell Clark of Central City; a son, Doug (Rhonda) Lassetter of Bradford, Penn.; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; and friends, Ed and Dooy Davis of Bremen.
    Funeral services were private. Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Gary's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Lucille "Lucy" J. Steele

    Lucille "Lucy" J. Steele, 79, died Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Twin Brook Nursing Home in Louisville.
    Born in Muhlenberg County Aug. 1, 1927, she was a service representative for South Central Bell. She was a member of Telephone Pioneer of America and First Baptist Church in Central City.
    Survivors include a sister, Rachel Grimes of Utica; and two nephews, J. Grimes of Utica and Barry Grimes of Owensboro.
    Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. March 4 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Lowery officiating. Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City.


Joseph Anthony Everett

    Joseph Anthony Everett, 77, died Friday, March 2, 2007 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.
     Born in Muhlenberg County July 16, 1929, he worked in construction.
    Survivors include two sons, Anthony Wayne Everett of Central City and Steven Dale Everett of Greenville; a daughter, Judy Ann Harper of Graham; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
    Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. March 5 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Rev. T.H. Davis officiating. Burial followed in Nelson Creek Cemetery.


Margie Lueceal Garrett Sweeney

    HOPKINSVILLE – Margie Lueceal Garrett Sweeney, 89, died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at her residence following a brief illness.
    Born in Tyewhoppety, Ky. Sept. 4, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Albert Garrett and Mattie Stephens Garrett. She was a farmer all her life and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Leslie Sweeney on Sept. 8, 2005.
    Survivors include a son, the Rev. J. Kenneth Sweeney of Hopkinsville; two granddaughters; a sister, Alma Nell McKinney of Lewisburg; and a brother, George Garrett of Hudson, Fla.
    Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. March 6 at Joines Chapel Baptist Church in Clifty with the Rev. Jerry Sweeney officiating. Burial followed in Joines Chapel Cemetery. Gary's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Charles "Bob" Case

    BREMEN – Charles "Bob" Case, 63, died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
    He was born in Muhlenberg County Nov. 12, 1943.
    Survivors include a son, Jeffery Carroll of Central City; and many friends.
    Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. March 5 at Pine Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Neal officiating. Tucker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Naomi N. Williams

    GREENVILLE – Naomi N. Williams, 72, died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at her residence.
    Born in Muhlenberg County Feb. 27, 1935, she was a cook at the Family Inn in Greenville and was a member of Trinity Pentecostal Church.
    Survivors include a son, Allen Neal Williams of Nelson Creek; a granddaughter; two sisters, Anna Jenkins of Central City and Brenda Kaye Todd of Evansville; and a brother, Tommy Lee Noffsinger of Greenville.
    Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. March 7 at Tucker Funeral Home with the Revs. Alan Harris and T. H. Davis officiating. Burial followed in Gish Cemetery in Bremen.


Jerry Lee Stobart

    Jerry Lee Stobart, 55, died Sunday, March 4, 2007 at his residence in Central City.
    Born in Mason, W. Va. Aug. 27, 1951, he was a boilermaker and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Stobart.
    Survivors include his wife, Shelby Middleton Stobart; a daughter, Shara Stobart of Pomeroy, Ohio; three brothers, Harold Haley and Terry Stobart, both of Ohio and Gary Stobart; and two sisters, Elizabeth Moodispaugh and Pam Shields, both of Ohio.
    Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. March 7 at Forest Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Shane Garrett officiating.
