thriller over South
North captures 11th straight 10th
District Championship
GREENVILLE
– They started playing basketball in Muhlenberg County around the year
1910 and one of the most exciting games in that illustrious near-century
of history took place March 2 before a packed house at Muhlenberg South
High School.
Aaron Morris poured in a career-high 38 points to
lead Muhlenberg North to a thrilling 76-73 double overtime victory over
Muhlenberg South to claim the 2007 10th District Tournament championship.
It’s the 11th straight District championship for the Stars.

Lady Stars
rally falls short
Ohio Co. takes second straight 10th District
title
GREENVILLE – After falling
behind by 21-points in the second quarter, Muhlenberg North roared back
in the second half but fell 67-64 to Ohio County in the championship
game of the Girls’ 10th District Tournament on Thursday at South High.
It was the second straight title for the Lady Eagles
(22-7). The win snapped a 16-game winning streak and was the first
loss in 2007 for the Lady Stars (23-7).
