Greenville woman wakes to find burglar standing over her bed

    A Greenville woman was grabbed from her bed by an intruder early Monday morning after he entered her home searching for money.
    Rosi Buchanan woke up about 3 a.m. and saw a shadow in her hallway.

Second Baptist’s ‘Bow the Knee’ final performance April 8

    Second Baptist Church in Greenville will present this year’s final performance of the dramatic Easter musical “Bow the Knee” at 11 a.m. April 8.
    The cast of more than 100 will perform the true message and meaning of Easter regarding the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as seen through the eyes of Anthony, a Roman Centurion who had many encounters with Jesus.


Blood supplies critically low in area

There is less than a 36-hour blood supply of O negative, O positive and A negative available in the Tennessee Valley Blood Service region that serves Muhlenberg County.
    According to the American Red Cross, it takes less than an hour to donate a pint of blood. This pint can be used to save up to three people based on their needs.
    There will be an American Red Cross blood drive from noon until 6 p.m. April 10 at Central City Church of Christ, 401 West Everly Brothers Blvd.
    Another blood drive is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. April 11 at Maple Manor Health Care and Rehab Center, 515 Green Drive in Greenville.


Annual women’s conference will address migraines

    Aching heads across the county will have a break April 26 when Muhlenberg Community Hospital hosts the 2007 Women’s Health Fair, “Not now, I have a headache,” at First Baptist Church Christian Life Center in Greenville.
    The keynote speaker will be Dr. Tarvez Tucker, associate professor of neurology at the University of Kentucky Medical Center and director of the UK Headache and Pain Clinic, who will be talking about migraine headaches at 6:10 p.m.
