Leader-News Staff Writer reporter@ky-leadernews.com In the wake of the worst campus shooting in history that occurred at Virginia Tech College Monday morning, the administrators at Madisonville Community College are continuing to train staff in emergency response efforts in the case of an on-campus crisis. “We have, just this semester, put into place an emergency response crisis management team,” said Dr. Judy Rhoads, MCC president. “They have already begun training and have practiced drills for emergency situations.” Teacher suspended after domestic violence charge Leader-News Staff Report GREENVILLE — A Muhlenberg North High School teacher has been suspended pending further investigation into reasons for his arrest in the early morning hours of April 9. Leader-News Staff Writer reporter@ky-leadernews.com A Muhlenberg County Board of Education board member has resigned his position after the state Attorney General ruled it was a conflict of interest for him to serve while also serving in a public office. Eddie Brake, Drakesboro City Administrator, was elected in November with more than 600 votes. However, there is a regulation that prohibits school board members from serving in certain public offices. Woman accused in Muhlenberg native’s death found not guilty in Logan County The Indiana woman accused of killing a former Muhlenberg County man when she hit his motorcycle was found not guilty by a Logan County jury April 13. Mickey L. Mosher, 55, of Warsaw, Ind., was charged with two counts of murder, two counts of second-degree manslaughter, one count of first-degree assault, four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Central City man remains in critical condition after motorcycle accident April 9 A Central City man is still in critical condition at an Indiana hospital following an April 9 motorcycle accident. Shawn Rossignol, 24, was ejected from his motorcycle after he hit the front of a vehicle driven by Courtney Garrett, 17, of Greenville at the intersection of Everly Brothers Boulevard and South Second Street.
