North falls to Aces in regional semis
HAWESVILLE – Muhlenberg North wasted little time
in getting the attention of defending 3rd Region softball champion Owensboro
Catholic in their semifinal matchup in the regional tournament May 29
at Hancock County’s Vastwood Park.

Underwood invited to participate in USA Junior National
International Sports festival
After an outstanding performance in the USA Junior
Nationals all-state high school basketball competition at Midway College,
Rachel Underwood, senior at Muhlenberg North High School, has been invited
to participate in the prestigious USA Junior Nationals International Sports
Festival July 23-29 in Columbus, Ohio. She is the daughter of Wayne and
Meichelle Underwood of Central City.

title
South’s Napier also claims regional title
PADUCAH – Muhlenberg North standout Matt Brooks and
Muhlenberg South’s Cody Napier each earned event championships at the
Class AA, Region 1 Track and Field Meet held May 26 at Paducah Tilghman
High School.
South’s Holt, Porter take silver in Lexington
LEXINGTON – Muhlenberg South’s Suzanne Holt and Brianne
Porter each notched second place finishes at the State Track and Field
Meet held June 1-2 at Lexington Dunbar High School.
