Lady Stars receive awards

19th annual Kentucky Deer Classic set for August
25
More than 3,500 hunters are expected to attend the
the 19th annual Kentucky Deer Classic Aug. 25 at the Muhlenberg County
Agriculture and Convention Center in Powderly.
The event, sponsored by the Greater Muhlenberg Chamber
of Commerce, will feature Tim Farmer, host of television’s “Kentucky Afield”
and the new record Pennyrile Amish Buck, the number two non-typical in
Kentucky, will be on display.
Greenville Country Club swim team finishes third
The Greenville Country Club traveled to Bowling Green
to compete in the 52nd annual South Central swimming and diving championship
July 14-15. GCC finished third in the six team field with the highest
point total in the clubs history.
East pilots No. 37 Cub Cadet/Kleenex to 16th place
MADISON, IL – Bobby East made his NASCAR Busch Series
debut at the Gateway International Raceway on Saturday evening in the
Busch 250. It will, no doubt, be a race that he will long remember.
Making his third career start for Brewco Motorsports
in the Busch Series, East and the No. 37 Cub Cadet / Kleenex Team led
by Crew Chief Stewart Cooper worked primarily on race setup during the
two practice sessions on Friday. With the Busch 250 another “impound”
race for the Busch Series, East and Cooper knew that their qualifying
setup must also work for the race.
